UPSC Interview (Personality Test) – Complete Information Guide

The UPSC Interview, officially known as the Personality Test, is the final and most decisive stage of the Union Public Service Commission Civil Services Examination.
It is not a knowledge-based test, but an assessment of a candidate’s overall personality, attitude, integrity, and suitability for public service.

  1. Preliminary Examination
  2. Main Examination

It carries 275 marks, and when added to the 1750 marks of Mains, forms the final merit ranking out of 2025 marks.

  • There is NO separate passing mark for the interview. Marks are added to the final merit list.
